The Art of Words Art-Based Summer Camp

- see all dates
Except July 5, 2021.
In its third year, The Art of Words Community School offers an all-day summer program with plenty of outdoor play, gardening, art, and hands-on activities. Based in Dumbo, the Waldorf model program for children in grades K-8th grade can be booked by the day, week or month.
The Waldorf model encourages children to explore the outdoors as much as possible and make experiences their own through hands-on activities and play. Activities include working in the local community garden, engaging in daily art activities, walking to the Farmer's Market, playing in Brooklyn Bridge Park, and learning about the history of the city of New York.
Camp runs from 8am to 6pm Monday through Friday. Flexible scheduling offers booking by day, week, or month. All lunches and snacks are provided.
To register, select the first date of camp and the session length. For weekly or monthly, select the Monday of your desired week. You can add additional sessions or children. The provider fill follow up to confirm your desired additional weeks.
