See more than 1,000 illuminated jack o’lanterns carved by artists and staged along a festive, paved, tree-lined pathway among the backdrop of Governors Island's centuries old buildings. With carving demonstrations and giant pumpkins.

Upon arrival on the island, the jack o’lantern trail is only a short walk from the ferry.  See dozens of intricately carved 100+ pound pumpkins, most meticulously hand-painted and hand-carved by dozens of artists who put upwards of 20 hours of work into each pumpkin, some by the top pumpkin sculptors in the country. Check out a few jack o’lantern artists carving live and answering your carving questions.

Advance tickets are required, and are offered on a first-come first-served basis. Tickets are not sold at the door.

NOTE: This event will not take place on Sunday, Oct 27, due to storm predictions. Ticket holders for Sunday will be reimbursed.
