Native American Arts Fest: Storytelling
Nimoshom and His Bus
Children’s Museum educators share the story of Nimoshom, a school bus driver with a lot to say. Nimoshom means “my grandfather” in Cree, and this children’s book tells the story of author Penny M. Thomas’ grandfather who loved to drive the school bus. Every day, on the way to and from school, he had something to say—sharing silly stories and teaching kids new words in Cree.
Thunder Boy Jr.
CMOM Museum educators share the story of a little boy determined to find his own way in the children’s book Thunder Boy Jr. by Sherman Alexie.
Saturday & Sunday, November 23 & 24 | 10:30 – 11am | 5 & younger | Drop-in
