Earth Day celebrations start at the park with a group cleanup of nearby blocks and free breakfast. Fun activities related to improvement of the environment follow, including a book giveaway and reading of Julia Mills' book, Robinson's New Thing, along with an author-led art activity.  

Activities on the eastern side of the park include a puzzle and book swap and other environmentally conscious activities.
