Pumpkin Point on Governors Island
Returning for its third year in historic Nolan Park, Pumpkin Point brings thousands of ripe fall pumpkins to Governors Island.
The patch is free to visit, and small and medium-sized pumpkins can be handpicked and purchased for a small donation that benefits the Friends of Governors Island. Surrounded by beautiful fall foliage and the village-like atmosphere of former officer’s homes, this free fall spectacular includes free Halloween-inspired arts and craft activities with Children’s Museum of the Arts, including pumpkin painting and costume-making workshops, and festive fare from Governor’s Island vendors Little Eva’s and Threes Brewing.Children’s activities and vendors close at pm.
On Saturday, October 26, stop by at 1pm for free Trick-or-Treating in Nolan Park! Young visitors and their families are encouraged to come in costume and head house to house, porch to porch, to receive free treats from the dozens of arts, culture and education organizations that call Governors Island home. Trick-or-Treating is first come, first served and will last throughout the afternoon until supplies run out.
Blazing Saddles also offers free candy for Trick-or-Treaters at its Liggett Terrace location.
