The Trust for Governors Island, in partnership with the Film Society of Lincoln Center, hosts the second edition of the island's hugely popular summer film series.

The series kicks off with a screening of Men in Black (PG-13), the wildly entertaining 1997 sci-fi comedy starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, on the big outdoor screen.

The films are shown on the Island’s Parade Ground, an eight-acre lawn with expansive open views of Lower Manhattan. Pre-show entertainment kicks off at 6pm and the films begin unspooling at dusk.

Ferries during Late Fridays run from the Battery Maritime Building in Lower Manhattan, located at 10 South Street. On film nights, they will depart Lower Manhattan at 5:30, 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30pm. Ferries return to Lower Manhattan from Soissons Landing at 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11pm.
