Lights Up on Lincoln Square - Magical Lights
- see all dates
A new immersive light installation is on display through the end of January, featuring eight giant London Plane trees dripping with hundreds of strands of hanging light vines that react to and are influenced by the public - twinkling to the rhythm of Lincoln Square’s beat and NYC’s soundscape. Visitors to the park can participate in pop-up sing-alongs as well.
The full lineup of LS BID holiday offerings include:
Magical Lights Unveiling - Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 4:30pm
A diverse array of live performances help unveil the new lighting display in Dante Park and kick off the holiday season including:
- The Department of Spectacle, featuring classic circus arts wrapped in holiday style including a stilt walker, jugglers, and the hilarious Princess Schneeflocken
- Kaufman Music Center's Special Music School Chorus, comprised of high school vocal students from Kaufman’s K-12 public school
- CHIA's Dance Party, led by Martin Vejarano’s Brass Quintet
- After the unveiling, the lights will remain on and visitors can participate in SING-ALONGs, or to clap, sing, or play a tune to make the lights dance throughout the holiday season.
