Artful Activism
Saturday, October 9 – Monday, October 11
Learn about the rights many Indigenous Peoples continue to fight for today and create your own demonstration sign art to show the world what you care about.

Flor de maga and the Tainos
Saturday, October 9 – Monday, October 11
Learn about Tainos, the Indigenous people of the Caribbean in a reading of Taíno Tales: The Secret of the Hummingbird and The Golden Flower: A Taino Myth from Puerto Rico. Create an artwork inspired by the flor de maga, an indigenous flower of Puerto Rico.

Fossil Week at CMOM
Wednesday, October 13 – Sunday, October 17
Become a junior paleontologist and explore different ways to dig up dinosaur fossils all week long in the PlayWorks exhibit. Make sure to also stop by Inside Art, where you can model animals, plants, or insects to build a "fossil bed." Bury them beneath layers of tissue papers and pastels to make them look like they’re fresh off an excavation site!

Slime Time Surprise

It’s Slime Time at CMOM! All week long kids are introduced to different kinds of slime—slime that crunches and slime that slides, slime that glitters, and slime that shines.

Witches Brew

Double, double, boil, and bubble up some slime for an ewwy gooey good time.

Slimy Window Clings
Wednesday, October 20 – Sunday, October 24
Follow a special sticky recipe to whip up slimetastic window art.

Wonderful Webs and Spectacular Spiders
Wednesday, October 27 – Friday, October 29
Weave, wrap, and warp yarn and string to help build a spiderweb installation in the Inside Art exhibit. Then head over to PlayWorks to create a creepy little friend that can crawl up walls.

Pumpkin Face Treats with The Creative Kitchen

Have a delicious Halloween with The Creative Kitchen! Use a variety of decorative and healthy ingredients to design your own funny pumpkin face. Families receive portioned ingredients to make-and-take their recipes home.

Terrifying Tote Bag Design
Sunday, October 31
Get ready to trick-or-treat by designing a tote bag for your crazy collection of candy.

Purchase timed tickets online, in advance. Note that masks are required for all visiting the museum, ages 2 and up.
