It looks like visitors will be able to ski before they can swim at American Dream. The East Rutherford, NJ, mega mall's indoor ski and snow park, known as Big SNOW, celebrated its grand opening today, December 5, while the opening of DreamWorks Water Park, originally slated to open November 27, has been delayed.

Big SNOW, North America's only real-snow indoor park, will offer 365 days of skiing and snowboarding for the whole family, with slopes that range in difficulty from beginner to expert. Those who don't yet know how to ski or snowboard will be able to take private lessons, and you can rent everything you need, including outerwear and a helmet.

Camps and coaching will also be available, and the Shop at Big SNOW carries a full selection of ski and snowboard gear and apparel.

The entertainment complex has been opening in phases, beginning with the opening of Nickelodeon Universe amusement park and The Rink for ice skating, on October 25. The next phase was slated to be the opening of the DreamWorks Water Park. However, the water park was recently delayed without a new date announced.

The last phase of the project will see the addition of more than 350 shopping destinations and more than 100 dining options in March 2020. A LEGOLAND Discovery Center, SEA LIFE Aquarium, Kidzania, CMX Luxury Movie Theater, and 300-foot observation wheel will add to the fun. Parking fees have yet to be enforced outside of game and event days.
