Malibu Fireworks
The only fireworks in Malibu are launched from barges off the coast, and they are always dependent upon weather; fog cancels. The barge displays are privately organized and as such are often just stumbled upon if you choose a good, high spot with a broad view of the sea.
(You can sign up with the city of Malibu "receive direct notification when the Fire Department issues a permit for professional fireworks displays scheduled off the coast of Malibu".)
That said, Paradise Cove restaurant is a reliable source of 4th of July fireworks, and—weather permitting, of course—a display is planned for this year. Parking at Paradise Cove can be a bit pricey; eating a meal there might be the easiest way to see the fireworks (reservations recommended), but choosing a spot nearby with a view of the sea works, too.
