Barack Obama is getting his own street! The City of Los Angeles officially unveils Obama Boulevard in honor of our 44th President.

The Los Angeles City Council unanimously voted last August to rename a 3.5-mile stretch of Rodeo Road as Obama Boulevard. The street runs from near the Culver City border east to Mid-City, (not the Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills).

It also establishes a "Presidential Row,” that is, Washington Boulevard, Adams Boulevard, Jefferson Boulevard and now Obama Boulevard!

The naming ceremony and festival are being held at the intersection of Obama Boulevard and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.

The Festival features celebrity musical guests: Doug E. Fresh, Yo-Yo, BJ The Chicago Kid, Battlecat, Kurupt, Alex Isley, Gavlyn, T-Lyons, Baby S, DJ Tee, Verbs, Dj Qwesscoast & more being added.

The 5pm unveiling includes Los Angeles City Council President Herb Wesson, Los Angeles Urban League President Michael Lawson, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Congresswoman Karen Bass, Church of God In Christ Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake, President of the LA County Federation of Labor Rusty Hicks, as well as local, state and federal elected officials.
