Blessing of the Animals

The Saturday before Easter Sunday, families can bring their pets to be blessed. This centuries-old tradition, blessing the animals for the benefits they provide mankind, has been celebrated in the Plaza since 1930. All pets are welcome.
Other fun includes a petting zoo and free pony rides, lively music, and traditional food.
The blessing takes place from 2pm - 3pm.
While the blessing is rooted in Catholic tradition, you do not have to be Catholic to participate. All animals, and humans, are welcome!
* The Blessing of the Animals ALWAYS takes place the Saturday before Easter Sunday.
