America’s Teaching Zoo shines bright this holiday season during its enchanting holiday light event. Visitors can go 'Under the Sea' at Rajah's Retreat and venture into the Illuminated Jungle, featuring a captivating glow-in-the-dark garden.
New this year: Santa Claus stops by for visits on December 10 and 17.
This winter lights experience is built around a self-guided stroll throughout the Zoo filled with dynamic lights, immersive interactive experiences, fabulous photo ops, and seasonal magic. Santa's Workshop and 12-foot tall Holiday Tree greet visitors at the start of their journey.
Ira the lion, never one to miss a party, can be seen under the Lion’s Den Canopy of Lights, (he's either roaring or snoring, you never know!)
Please note: This is not an animal centered event, some of the animals enjoy the lights and some just sleep through the night.
