The Town of Hempstead hosts its annual Salute to Veterans event, which features a concert by the Commodores and a fireworks display. The evening kicks off with a ceremony honoring veterans.

Also planned: a cornhole tournament, a volleyball tournament, family fun zone and more are planned. Rain date: Sunday, June 29.
