Long Island Oyster Festival
Have a shucking good time at the Oyster Festival, one of the East Coast's largest waterfront celebrations. Offering a mix of new activities and old favorites, this weekend-long festival is sure to entertain the entire family.
Schedule: Saturday., October 15 11am until 7pm Sunday, Oct. 16 11am until 6pm Admission is free. Parking is free. And most activities are free.
Children's Activities: Carnival rides and games provided by Newtown Shows. Both individual tickets and pay one price bracelets are available for purchase. Exotic animals such as a llama, a kangaroo and miniature ponies. At The Butterfly Experience tents, fair goers get to go inside the exhibit with a feeding stick, feed, interact and learn fun facts about the butterflies. Both the zoo and butterflies are located near the West End Avenue /Western Waterfront. There will also be live music on stages, breweries/wineries, a food court and more.
