Long Island Oyster Festival
- see all dates
Have a shucking good time at the Oyster Festival, one of the East Coast's largest waterfront celebrations. Offering a mix of new activities and old favorites, this weekend-long festival is sure to entertain the entire family.
Schedule: Saturday, October 14 11am - 7pm Sunday, October 15 11am - 6pm Admission is free. Parking is free. And most activities are free, thanks to a corporate sponsore, Catholic Health and the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Rotary.
Children's Activities: Carnival rides and games provided by Newtown Shows. Both individual tickets and pay-one-price bracelets are available for purchase.
Exotic animals such as a llama, a kangaroo, and miniature ponies await. At The Butterfly Experience tents, fairgoers get to go inside the exhibit with a feeding stick to feed, interact, and learn fun facts about the butterflies.
Both the zoo and butterflies are located near the West End Avenue/Western Waterfront. There is also live music, breweries/wineries represented, a food court, and more.
