On Saturday, September 8th, from 11 am to 10 pm the CT Folk Festival & Green Expo presents their annual festival at New Haven’s Edgerton Park.
The Green Expo, open from 11am-6pm, highlights over 75 exhibitors that include handmade artisans and exhibitors with innovative ideas and products for sustainable living. The Green Kids Village offers an Acoustic Corner, hands-on activities and entertainment including yoga and hula-hooping workshops, an arts & creativity corner, ongoing projects all day and a huge puppet parade at 3:45 pm. CT Folk unveils a lineup that celebrates the best in folk music and beyond. This year's festival includes headliner Martin Sexton and The Alternate Routes, Upstate, Jesse Terry Trio, Goodnight Blue Moon, Plywood Cowboy, Auguste & Alden, Open Book, Professors of Bluegrass and the Grassy Hill Songwriting Competition to round out this incredible day of music. In its 26th year, The CT Folk Festival & Green Expo has organically grown into one of Connecticut’s leading folk festivals as well as presenting the largest Green Expo in the state.
