Calling all kids! Help catch the Leprechaun that has been spotted running around River Forest. First, take part in an outdoor Story Hunt, based on the book How to Catch a Leprechaun by Adam Wallace. Reading the posted story page and solving the clues will lead kids to the next page of the story, and possibly to a new location in River Forest for the next clue.
When kids solve all the clues, they will reach the “pot of gold at the end of the rainbow”, and will get the chance to use their traps to catch the Leprechaun and receive a reward. Story Hunt locations include several River Forest Park District locations, Trailside Museum, and the River Forest Public Library.
Be sure to stop at Trailside’s Nature Play area to find all the materials needed to build a leprechaun trap.
All participants are required to wear masks and practice physical distancing.
