Oak Park, the birthplace of the late great actress Betty White, celebrates her life on what would have been her 100th birthday. Families can gather outside the Lake Theater to hear addresses from the Oak Park Village President and a representative from the Oak Park River Forest Museum. Vocalist Cindy Fee will sing "Thank You For Being A Friend," the theme song from Golden Girls, and fans can enjoy 100 pieces of cake and "Be Like Betty" photo opps. The Animal Care League will host an animal adoption event to honor Betty's love for animals.
