Join a DCR park ranger for a two mile evening promenade along Pleasure Bay in South Boston. As early as the 19th century, Frederick Law Olmsted envisioned Marine Park as the final jewel in Boston’s Emerald Necklace and a place for city dwellers to experience sublime nature. Meet at DCR Castle Island in front of Sullivan’s Café at 2080 William J. Day Boulevard in South Boston.Other details about this program:
- An adult must accompany children
- Wear sturdy footgear
- Carry drinking water on all hikes
- Dress in layers and wear sunscreen
- Insect repellant recommended at dusk
