Enjoy a traditional Chinese lion dance ceremony dating back more than a thousand years.

As a guardian creature coming from the mountains to drive away evil spirits, the lion is believed to bring positive and celebratory energy, and give blessings, good fortunes, happiness, success, and prosperity to all.

The Celebrate! series, appropriate for family audiences and children ages 5 and up, highlights America’s rich cultural diversity through the arts. All performances are free and in the Stephen Smith Center at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, Columbia Point, Boston. In order to optimize your comfort and enjoyment, reservations are recommended for all visitors. Children are seated on a carpeted floor with their caretakers.
