StiggityStackz Worldwide turns Spectacle Island into their stage for The Foundation Dance Battle. Registrations includes a scenic ferry ride to the island, a live DJ and a cover band on both the ferry and on the island, local vendors, the dance battles, and special guest judge performances.

About Stiggity Stackz Worldwide: Freestyle dance is a powerful black cultural art form—a dynamic evolution of movements forged by our culture for self-expression and community cohesion. SSW paves the way for artists of all ages and backgrounds to forge connections with their body, movement, and rhythm. These fundamental bonds serve as the foundation for expressing personal stories, building confidence, discovering flow, and fostering community. Through dance coaching, freestyle dance festivals, media production, and entrepreneurial workshops, SSW is dedicated to offering the space and resources needed to ignite individual and community transformation.

About The Foundation: The Foundation started as a free weekly training program for local dancers, and has turned into a yearly battle event and fundraising effort for the Stackin’ Stylez Freestyle Dance Festival. Directions: Departure will be from Long Wharf in Boston. Multiple parking options are available, but we recommend carpooling, public transit whenever possible.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURES SCHEDULE 11:15AM: Arrive to Long Wharf for check in 12:30PM: Ferry departs from Long Wharf 1:00PM: Ferry arrives at Spectacle Island 5:00PM: Board returning ferry 5:30PM: Ferry departs from Spectacle Island ~6:00PM: Ferry arrives back at Long Wharf.

Please bring sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, any food you may want, and a way to carry your trash back with you. Remember that Spectacle Island follows a strict pack in/pack out policy: All items including trash brought with you must go back with you. There are no trashcans on the island.
