LA's iconic Bob Baker Marionette Theater holds its annual Bob Baker Day celebration virtually for 2021. The day honors the late great puppeteering legend Bob Baker, a beloved pioneer in the field of puppetry.

Guests step virtually into Downtown LA's historic Union Station to begin a digital journey to the people and places that connect this city. Includes puppet shows, performances, activities, an online museum of puppetry, and more.

Highlights include:

  •  Family-friendly offerings from Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, Columbia Memorial Space Center, Kidspace, and Velaslavasay Panorama
  • the Bob Baker Marionettes interacting in front of iconic locations such as Los Angeles Public Library, The Music Center, Santa Monica Pier, LA Zoo, and the Autry Museum of the American West
  • A 3D tour of historic Union Station, reimagined with LA’s favorite puppet pals
  • Celebrations of local businesses, performers, artists, musicians, and makers, including contributions from Charles Phoenix, David Arquette, Folk Musician Frank Fairfield, Bubble-ologist Meghan McIver, World Conquering Hoola Hoop Master Marawa the Amazing, magician Funny Eddie and many more
