Celebrate Long Island Pride Weekend in Long Beach with various events, activities and services. Friday Join Long Beach City Council and other officials for the raising of the rainbow flag to kick-off Long Island Pride Weekend on June 8 at 6pm.
The event will take place at the flagpole in Kennedy Plaza, in front of City Hall. Visit the Newton Shows Carnival to ride your favorite thrills and more. Grab a bite on the midway or play your favorite carnival game. The Pride Carnival will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday on Riverside Blvd.
Celebrate with a special Shabbat service with leaders from the LGBT Network and the Community at 7:30pm at Temple Emanu-El of Long Beach.
Start your day with your family on the boardwalk with a fun run on the iconic Long Beach boardwalk at the Nature’s Bounty Co Pride 5K Run and the Kids Fun Run, starting at 7:30am. Grab your friends, your towels, and your beach passes, and head to Long Beach for the best Pride Beach party and fashion show at noon at the Long Beach Blvd beach. Bring your four legged friends to Pride for the Pride Pet Parade sponsored by Honda City and Bideawee at 3pm at the Long Beach Dog Run, located at 98 West Pine St. Be part of the Pride Boat Parade at Reynold’s Channel at 4pm. Pride on the Beach welcomes the Knickerbocker Sailing Association and their rainbow adorned fleet of sailboats and cruisers. The West End is the heart and soul of Long Beach nightlife. Stroll down mile-long West Beech Street and enjoy boutique shopping, fine restaurants, and a dazzling nightlife from 6-8pm.
The Pride Market Fair opens at 8am for the day. The LI Pride Market Fair will feature hundreds of exciting vendors, exhibitors and shops right on the beautiful Long Beach Boardwalk between Edwards Blvd. and Long Beach Blvd. Celebrate Long Island Pride Weekend with a special Worship Service with leaders from the LGBT Network and the Community at 10am. The 28th Annual LI Pride Parade takes place from noon to 2pm. March with thousands of LGBT People and Allies celebrating Pride on Long Island. Check out the amazing floats, performers, student and professional marching bands, and more. The route is Broadway from Laurelton Blvd to Long Beach Blvd. Head to the beachfront at Long Beach Blvd for live music all afternoon! Music starts as the parade lands on the sand at 1pm.
