The Friends of Mount Vernon Trail are improving the new Long Bridge Connector Trail that connects to the Mount Vernon Trail in Arlington. Volunteer to remove invasive vegetation growing into the trail. Anyone and everyone can volunteer. 

Volunteers should wear long pants and long sleeves and bring their own water, gloves, and pruning shears. 

Visit the event website for exact directions. The closest parking is at Columbia Island Marina located in Lady Bird Johnson Park. Parking is free for two hours. Meet on the other side of the Humpback Bridge. Look for purple Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail signs.
