Visitors can participate in a bird walk on the National Mall (8-10am), learn about Black birders and ornithologists, learn how to participate in Black Birders Week activities, and engage in hands-on STEAM lessons guided by Smithsonian educators. 

Black Birders Week 2024 is Sunday, May 26 - Saturday, June 1, and is a celebration of Black Birders by the National Museum of African American History and Culture and the National Museum of Natural History.
