The Annual Boston Tea Party Reenactment - CANCELLED
CANCELLED FOR 2021. Ticket holders join a spirited and theatrical colonial debate at Old South Meeting House to protest the tax on tea and demand liberty from the British crown, just as thousands of colonists did 248 years ago.
Gather at Old South Meeting House, where the colonists met in 1773, with colonial agitators like John Hancock, Paul Revere -- and some crown-loving Loyalists -- to debate the tea tax and demand liberty from the British crown! Then join the procession to Griffin's Wharf accompanied by fife and drum and witness the destruction of the tea as the Sons of Liberty storm the Brig Beaver, tossing the tea into the frigid water below.
The reenactment begins at the Old South Meeting House with a Meeting of the Body of the People. Then participants march to Griffin’s Wharf just as the colonists did centuries ago. And finally, everyone has the opportunity to throw tea overboard on the authentically restored Tea Ship the Beaver at the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum. Meet the colonists and enjoy the performances by costumed actors as you participate in this iconic event that forever changed American history.the reenactment begins at the Old South Meeting House with a Meeting of the Body of the People.
