KQED and artist collective Good Compenny come together in Vallejo for a night that’s more than a show. Five local artists will hit the stage for a live music showdown, judged by Vallejo star LaRussell and other local heavy-hitters, including artist manager Tietta, videographer Splash, violinist Michael Prince, pianist and producer Hokage Simon, and videographer and photographer BGIGGZ.

These six judges will be studying stage presence, skill, wow factors, versatility and how the performers engage with the audience.
Up-and-coming rappers and singers will bring their truth and talent to the mic. Expect real feedback, real recognition and one standout winner. Then, we close the night with a headlining set by LaRussell, whose music and message have inspired a movement far beyond the 707.
