Kimmel Center - Verizon Hall

Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, in association with the Philadelphia Chapter of The American Guild of Organists (AGO), offers families to experience a free, six-hour marathon featuring amazing organ music performed on The Fred J. Cooper Memorial Organ.

Audiences of all ages are invited to explore the organ known lovingly as “Fred.” This is the largest mechanical pipe organ in a concert venue in the United States. It is important to note that this year’s Organ Day includes demonstrations by AGO organists, our family-friendly Grow Up Great program, silent film with organ, special performances with Opera Philadelphia, Philadelphia Brass, and more.
