West Chester University debuts Summer Classics, a free outdoor production of a classic piece of theatre, open to the public. William Shakespeare's classic tale, A Midsummer Night's Dream takes the stage featuring original live music and innovative puppetry.

Directed by Charlie DelMarcelle, Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance, this production features WCU students and current grads, as well as high school students studying in the University's summer Pre-College Intensive.

Guests are encouraged to pack a picnic and grab a lawn chair to watch the performance. Prior to the show, families can participaten in a community fair including activities such as games, music, food, arts + crafts. An all-ages activity carnival is sponsored by West Chester Downtown Foundation and begins at 4 PM. The show begins at 5 PM.
