This family-friendly celebration begins at Franklin Square and moves to the front plaza at the African American Museum in Philadelphia. It features historical reenactors interpreting important speeches by noted African American figures from U.S. history.

In addition, museum visitors can hear words of Frederick Douglass and view the art of David Hammond during an interactive flag-making workshop.
