Location: Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, 1020 South Street, Philadelphia
The mosaics at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens contain many special ceramics. PMG creator Isaiah Zagar makes ceramic “doily tiles” by pressing lace into clay, which he colors with glaze. He also adds his own images, designs, and words on donated tiles.
In this workshop, participants will choose and decorate two ceramic forms (choose from a variety of tiles and ornaments) and glaze a doily tile inspired by Isaiah. We will fire these unique pieces in our kiln, turning them into enduring keepsakes or ornaments.
- Please be aware that we will be working in a space that can only be accessed by stairs. Tickets also include general admission to PMG.
- This workshop is open to participants ages 5+, but all participants under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult participant.
- Members should log in to our website or call 215-733-0390 to receive their discount. Learn more about becoming a PMG member.
- Tickets are not refundable.
