Downtown NYC just got lucky—The Craft Studio, long a mainstay of the Upper East Side has finally opened a Lower Manhattan outpost and fans of the wonderfully charming crafting mecca couldn’t be happier. Not only is it a great place for kids to unwind after school, it is also a birthday party venue and a great option for play dates.

I have a four year and she loves cookies. Sugar, chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin: she doesn’t discriminate. She loves them all. For non-holiday activities, don't miss opening weekend of Annie at Curtain Call in Stamford, a special mother-daughter bonding workshop at Camp Girlie Girl in New Haven, or the Maritime Aquarium, which will be open with it's regular operating hours on Sunday. Because of the holiday, you'll find that many of our favorite kid-friendly hangouts such as libraries and museums are closed or have limited hours on Friday and Sunday, so be sure to double check with your destination before setting off.

This month the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Philadelphia celebrated its first birthday with a new play experience, Arctic Base Camp! The new play experience submerges LEGO-lovers into an arctic world with new digital features and an impressive life-sized polar bear. We got a chance to check out the new exhibit and play in this awesome creative space.

With Peter Cottontail hopping into town this weekend, there are plenty of Easter celebrations across Long Island. Dine with the Easter Bunny at these breakfasts and brunches or go on one of these ultimate egg hunts.
