The annual Culver City holiday tree lighting ceremony ushers in the holiday season. Plus 50 tons of fresh snow in Downtown Culver City?  That's sled-tastic!

This year's ceremony has two special guests to lead the countdown: Zooey Deschanel and Charlie Cox, stars of the new Amazon MGM holiday film, Merv. (Zooey has quite the Christmas resume: she also starred as Jovie in Elf!) 

The Tree Lighting Ceremony starts at 6pm, a 30-minute show featuring 250 local students and a boisterous countdown with the Mayor to light the beautiful 25-foot Holiday Tree on Town Plaza.

This is followed by a special visit from none other than Santa Claus in his first appearance of the season in Culver City, meeting all children in front of the historic Culver Studios mansion.

Preregister for a sledding wristband.

Event begins at 5pm; tree lighting is at 6pm. Event is held at Town Plaza;.snow play is on adjacent Main Street.
