The Search for Interstellar Objects of Technological Origin (A Free, Virtual Lecture)
Is space trash from extraterrestrial technological civilizations lurking among natural interstellar rocks? New Galileo Project Observatories are monitoring millions of objects near Earth; are any of them Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena?
The Hamptons Observatory and Suffolk County Community College will co-host a free, virtual lecture by distinguished Harvard astrophysicist, head of the Galileo Project, and author of Interstellar: The Search for Extraterrestrial Life, Dr. Avi Loeb, who will discuss recent interstellar objects that have been discovered, and explore the question of whether they are natural interstellar rocks or space trash from extraterrestrial civilizations.
