Pickles and Paws is the largest animal adoption event in New York State, and it comes with a delicious twist. This family-friendly event brings together animal shelters and rescues for a day of adoption, awareness, and community support, all while celebrating a love for animals and pickles!
Enjoy live music, entertainment, small business vendors, food trucks, adult beverages, 20+ animal rescues with adoptable animals of all kinds, and—yes—an entire pickle festival.

Other family fun includes pickle contests, raffle auction, silent auction, face painting, henna, foam party, fairy hair, axe throwing, and much more. With training sessions, a doggie fashion show, agility courses, and tons of activities for all ages.

In addition to this, you can bring your dog along for a one-of-a-kind, unique 5K-9 Trail Fun Run through Southaven Park. This Fun Run goes through bubble foam and each registration comes with some pickle powder color throw!

After you're done strolling along the paths, join in on some relaxing puppy yoga! While stretching, meet and greet adoptable puppies! Come for the paws, stay for the pickles!
