Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with Thunderbird American Indian Dancers, one of the best-known and the oldest resident Native American dance companies in New York. Plus, experience the joy of working with clay and get your hands dirty at the clay table, courtesy of the Clay Art Center.

The HRM sits on traditional lands of the Leni Lenape, the First Peoples to inhabit the Lower Hudson Valley. The troupe, which has performed throughout the U.S., was founded in 1963 by a group of ten Native American men and women who were descended from Mohawk, Hopi, Winnebago, and San Blas tribes, and will perform a variety of dances from different tribes and delve into their origins, purpose, and regalia—with audience participation! They recognize and celebrate our region’s First People, who are integral to our understanding of local and national history, our relationship to the land, and responsibility for its stewardship for future generations.

Performances will take place at 5:30 and 6:45pm.
