The Flatiron NoMad Partnership expands its annual Día de los Muertos celebration to a full week of happenings, with free food samples at participating businesses (while supplies last), a family-friendly event at Capitol Plaza, and more. 

Monday, October 28, 4-6pm | Food Sampling
Stop by local Mexican restaurants in the neighborhood for free food samples at participating businesses. While supplies last.

Wednesday, October 30, 12-3pm | Family-Friendly Event at Capitol Plaza
Head to the Capitol Plaza for a community Día de Muertos event.

Friday, November 1, 3-7pm | Día de Muertos Celebration at Flatiron North Plaza
This year’s Día de Muertos Celebration ncludes:

• A curated mix of Mexican folklore performances presented by Calpulli Mexican Dance Company.
• An interactive community altar presented in partnership and elaborated by Mano a Mano. Attendees are invited to bring photos and small mementos in honor of their departed loved ones to place at the altar.
• A Día de Muertos face painting transformation by on-site make-up artists.
• Decorate your own sugar skull (Calaverita de Azucar) to take home or to place on the altar.
