Dedicated to art and film, the UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive is a very cool museum with programs, exhibits, and screenings that draw visitors from the entire Bay Area. Admission is free for all on the first Thursday of every month, as well as for kids 18 and under, with special programs for families on the second Saturday.

Kids 6-12 with accompanying adults can take a half-hour interactive gallery tour. Kids 8 and up can participate in Roundtable Reading, where they can read pages of a book out loud and receive a copy to continue reading at home. Roundtable Reading begins at 2 p.m.
