Join UJA-Federation of NY and its nonprofit partners in honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Join the Shames JCC on the Hudson in a day of service to make a difference in our community, and the greater community to which we all belong. There will be volunteer opportunities for all ages.

Their big service project is for families of all ages to come to the Shames JCC to decorate and pack "Blizzard Boxes" containing the shelf-stable makings of one complete meal - soup, veggies, fruit, milk, and a protein (all supplies will be provided). These boxes will then be donated to food pantries around Westchester and the Bronx.

There are also opportunties that day for adults and teens to help sort medical supplies rescued by The Afya Foundation, for world distribution, where there is need.
