Step Afrika's latest performance, Drumfolk, is a celebration of resistance and resilience inspired by the Stono Rebellion of 1739, an uprising initiated by enslaved Africans who used their drums to start a revolt in South Carolina. Families will enjoy dances and music from hambone to hip-hop, celebrating a diverse array of African American culture and history.

Strathmore requires all audience members to show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance. Masks are required indoors.
