Unwrap the magic of the city at Taunton's Lighting of the Green & 2025 Lights On Festival for this annual, community-loved celebration featuring live entertainment, kids' activities, fireworks, and a magical display of holiday lights on the historic Taunton Green.

2025 marks the 112th Lighting of the Taunton Green and the City of Taunton, known as The Christmas City, is excited to welcome visitors from near and far to celebrate this beloved community tradition.

The Christmas City AFTER the Lights On Festival
In December, after the Festival, the Christmas City has much to offer visitors & locals. Visitors can enjoy the holiday lights display on the Taunton Green through New Year's Day.

Stroll around for the best views (parking is free downtown nights & weekends). Driving by the display in the car is also a great way to enjoy it! Don't forget to roll down the windows to hear the music.

Santa is in his house on the Taunton Green on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays from 5-8 PM. Pictures are complimentary, and visitors may also bring their own camera. ​

Victorian Carolers will be strolling on the Taunton Green on Friday & Saturday evenings.
