Biocitizen Family Nature Walks with Birds by BIJS

Families can join Biocitizen guide and birding entrepreneur Benny Jacobs-Schwartz on a series of local bird walks to learn about local Los Angeles ecology. These walks are geared for the whole family and are a mix of fun and educational.
On the light hikes participants can learn how to:
- Use binoculars
- Spot and identify some of our local birds
- Dive into ecological topics topics like bird language, migration, native plants and birds
The walks include loaner binoculars, wildlife spotting scope, and an eList of all birds seen on walk.

February 8: Meeting Location: Bette Davis Park, 1515 Rancho Ave. Glendale, CA 91201 - Physical Difficulty: EASY – walking on flat terrain with small hilly sections ($15 per person)
February 22: Meeting Location: Shane’s Inspiration Park, 4800 Crystal Springs Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90027 - Physical Difficulty: MODERATE – approximately 2 miles round-trip to an amazing overlook of the San Fernando Valley ($20 per person)
