Live Arts Arlington: Margaret Moody, Puppetry
Arlington puppeteer Margaret Moody performs vignettes of her gentle farm fable, "Cow and Mouse's Picnic," where Cow loves to play and picnic with his friend Mouse, but can't stand to share his dessert.
Between vignettes all are invited to try out soft puppets in front of the stage. Best for ages 3 and up.
Then, enjoy scenes of the acrobatic and mischievous Monkey King. Margaret Moody will perform scenes from "Monkey Makes Mischief in Heaven" using traditional Bu Dai Xi puppets and movements, which she studied with master puppeteers in Taiwan Stay to try out some Bu Dai Xi-style puppets. (note: Bu Dai Xi means 'cloth bag theater.') Best for ages 4 and up.
