At this month's Andell Family Sundays program, families can get inspired by ancient Rome.

Whether it is through the mythological gods and goddesses, or iconic architecture, ancient Rome has been a fountain of inspiration for artists throughout history.  LACMA visitors can take a family friendly, bilingual tour of the exhibition To Rome and Back: Individualism and Authority in Art, 1500–1800  and get inspired to make art in workshops. 

For those in need of more inspiration, Chris Burden's kinetic sculpture, Metropolis II  goes into action every Sunday at the following times: 10:30 - 11:30am, 12:30 - 1:30pm; 2:30pm - 3:30pm; 4:30pm - 5:30pm

(Don't forget: children under 17 can get a free membership to LACMA through the NexGen program, which entitles them to bring an adult guest with them each time they visit).
