Union Station's Retrocade Experience
- see all dates
Union Station guests are transported back to the Golden Age of gaming via a retro arcade experience in the Historic Ticket Concourse. Union Station’s Retrocade features over 50 classic cabinet games representing three decades of gaming.
This two-day event is a throwback to the golden age of gaming, transporting guests back in time for the ultimate arcade rewind. Union Station’s Retrocade Experience features over 40 cabinet games from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s.
Union Station’s Retrocade Experience allows visitors to play on an eclectic collection of classic arcade games and specialty pinball cabinets including fan favorites Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Mortal Combat and Street Fighter.
Admission is $5 per two-hour gaming session. All games are set to “free play.” Tickets are available for purchase at the door on both Saturday and Sunday. All ages are welcome.
Serious gamers can enter the 2nd annual “Pac Man” Tournament each day from 5-7 p.m. Entry fee is $10 to compete on vintage arcade “Pac Man” cabinets and vie for top-score honors and a custom “Pac Man” trophy.
In a spin on classic arcade food, ’80s candy and soft drinks are available as well as nachos, popcorn and churros from local favorite Mr. Churro along with beer, wine and specialty-themed cocktails.
The arcade experience will be set to the sounds of the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s with retro tracks from a house DJ.
Additionally, guests have the opportunity to experience the future of gaming with demos on four new Polycade cabinets featuring hit titles from both the past and present including “Asteroids,” “SpeedRunners,” “Centipede” and “Broforce.” Polycade updates the arcade interface for the 21st century with retro and new games on a plug-and-play, super-sleek arcade cabinet.
