Martin Luther King Day of Service
On January 20, the Segerstrom makes giving back a family affair.
Millions come together to volunteer and honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who never stopped asking the question, "What are you doing for others?" The MLK Day of Service is a moment to work together to fulfill King's vision for a better America with hands-on projects that directly benefit the local community.
As Dr. King once pointed out, "Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve."
This year, the Segerstrom has embraced that idea with free family fun and creative service opportunities for kids to encourage other children their age.
Families can also enjoy face painting and balloon art while learning about the many ways to volunteer at Segerstrom Center for the Arts.
