One of the most popular traditions, Boo at the Zoo, is back bigger and better this year. They are hosting 13 full days of Halloween in the Bronx including long weekends. Pick out your costume and join them for the return of Jack O'Lantern Creatures, hay maze, the costume parade and more.
Jack O'Lantern Creatures
Take a walk through the illumination of hand carved and lit Jack O'Lanterns. Bats, bugs, and more.
Location: World of Darkness
Time: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Costume Parade
Pick out your best costume and march in the parade with costumed characters, including bugs and bats.
Location: Starts at Rhino Garden and extends to Grizzly Bears
Times: 12 p.m., 2 p.m.
A photo opportunity is available from 3:30–4:00 p.m. in the Dancing Crane Plaza
Pumpkin Carving
Experts from Sand Sculpture USA will be creating intricately carved pumpkins with a different theme each week.

Kids can safely trick or treat around the zoo with snacks and candies.

Creepy Crafts
Try your hand at your own pumpkin craft using felt, markers, or other materials. Make a magnet that you can take home.

Magic Shows
David Levitan will combine magic and humor for a kid-friendly show with plenty of participation.

Gigi and the Lend Me a Hand Band return to the zoo for a sing- and dance-along to bring out the spirit of the season.
