Harlem School of the Arts Presents: A Harlemettes Holiday

From the Black Roses of Spanish Harlem to Hip-Hop Marching Toy Soldiers, A Harlemettes Holiday is a narrated musical revue that celebrates Harlem.
Little May and Little Mitch are discouraged by the commercial influence of the holiday season. Who can buy the greatest gift or gadget? They find a magical map that points them to Enchanted Harlem and their search for the perfect holiday begins. From Marcus Garvey Park to The Schomburg, the A Train takes them through the rhythms of jazz, blues and Hip-Hop where they meet the legendary stars of Harlem from Adam Clayton Powell Jr. to Dr. Maya Angelou.
Narrated by the spirits of Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, complemented by the HSA Griot Choir, HSA Alumni, special guests, and the dazzling Harlemettes
