Registration is recommended, but not required.
January 28: Watercolor Accordion Books
Use crayon and paint to experiment with line and color in your own unique accordion book. Discover the ways watercolor and crayon resist each other to create different textures and surfaces on each page.
February 11: Nature Dioramas for Tu B’Shevat
In celebration of the upcoming holiday of Tu B’Shevat (the birthday of trees), families are invited to construct their own diorama featuring elements from the natural world. Use tagboard, textured paper, magazine images, and other found materials to create a whimsical outdoor scene.
March 11: Playful Purim Masks
Celebrate the upcoming holiday of Purim! Using found materials like cardboard, buttons, feathers, and more, create a mask to wear for the holiday.
March 25: Styrofoam Prints
Make a series of prints inspired by the artwork on view in the exhibition, The Book of Esther in the Age of Rembrandt. Etch a design into a styrofoam plate, then roll ink over the plate and stamp it to produce prints that explore color, line, and shape.
