To commemorate 9/11, and all the brave folks getting America through its current troubles, the New York Historical Society hosts a reading of Maira Kalman's Fireboat, along with a special boat craft.

Meet a boat named John J. Harvey, which was the largest, fastest, shiniest fireboat of its time but eventually had to retire. Find out what the boat did in 2001 to help New York City! Then, create your own brave little boat.
